This year for our annual pilgrimage to the state fair, we met up with about 10 other families of our closest friends. It was such a blast being able to split up into groups or travel like a pack!
~
great friends + lots of laughs + crazy rides +'unique' food

TONS of fun memories and awesome pics!
I just had to get a picture of our gang in front of the DEEP FRIED 'EVERYTHING' poster!
The Desperate Housewives of Escambia County
{desperate for Jesus, that is!}
Nick, Parker, and Micah ready to get their wristbands and hit the rides!
Gotta love Hannah's 'gangsta' pose.
Can you tell she has two teenage siblings?
Ready to launch!
Really, really, REALLY love my new camera that is fast enough to get these action shots!
Notice that his is attached to his shirt.
We forbid our kids from going on the ferris wheel when Brian noticed that parts of it were DUCT TAPED together!!!
Savanna and Brianna were equally thrilled to find each other at the petting zoo.
Knowing what a germ-a-phob Sonja is, I am seriously wondering when she will be brave enough to kiss her hubs again!
Ahhhh.....the choices!
The men retreated to the car show for a good boost of testosterone.
We were SO PROUD to discover that Savanna had won 3 ribbons for her photographs she entered in the Fair! This was her first time entering her pictures, and the competition looked tough! I was so tickled for her, and all our buddies that were there with us were so sweet and excited for her.
Savanna took this picture of Brylee last week while babysitting her. This picture is especially hilarious to me since Brylee has been recently nicknamed 'Little Miss Head Injury'. Savanna had to carefully position the angle of the photo since Brylee is sporting a few not so attractive cuts and bruises at the moment. Since she is basically the only baby in our close group of friends, she thinks she is as big as the big kids and tries to immitate all their stunts. We have threatened to outfit her with a bubble wrap wig or baby bicycle helmet!
These are some of our flowers from our front yard that she took a picture of and then picniked the verse from Isaiah that her daddy reads after the scripture every week in worship.
We stopped on the way to cheer practice one afternoon so Savanna could take a picture of this cotton field. It took FIRST PLACE in the Youth Photography Division!
Brylee got so excited! It was as if she understood the fact that the image of her 'head' had won the Inspirational Award.
Dean had to give Jenna a boost so she could get a close up of her artwork from school that was entered in the fair.
One of the wookworkers gave Savanna a carved owl and Micah a little boot as a souvenir.
Micah was able to spot the queen bee and was awarded with an apple flavored honey stick.
So proud of our FFA chapter at our local high school for taking 1st place!
Even our local homemakers group was awarded 1st place for their 'No More Monkeys Jumping in the Bed' crafters booth.
I stopped to take a picture of this crazy Krispy Kreme cheeseburger because seriously, who would even dream of such a crazy combination much less actually EAT it?!?!
