5th grade talent show

Here are our 'STARS' ready to sing
"FREE TO BE ME" by Francesca Batistelli
at the 5th grade talent show.

(I think I was more nervous for them than they were)
They even had ripped jeans to go along with the chorus...
'I got a couple dents in my fender...
got a couple rips in my jeans...
try to fit the pieces together
but perfection is my enemy...
on my own I'm so clumsy
but on Your shoulders I can see...
I'm free to be ME!
What a great message for all of us to remember as the emeny of our soul tries to convince us that we have to be perfect and look a certain way to be of any worth. It is so freeing to know that all we have to do is be exactly who God designed us to be!
We had a student led sound team that did a fantastic job.
Dominique and Hadley both rocked out their solos.
The McDonald's Rap was a big crowd pleaser.
The audience sang along with Kaylee and Brianna's duet to 'True Friends' by Hannah Montana.
I thought everyone did such a great job and seemed like they genuinely had a good time! These kids are so much braver than I was at this age!
Ean kept the crowd entertained with a few knock knock jokes in between acts.
Each class put together a dance routine too.
Savanna's group did the Cha-Cha Slide.
'three jumps this time...slide to the left...'

'how low can you go?'
Here is all the fifth graders waiting for their turn on stage.
My emotions were all over the board this day.
I laughed,
I cried,
I was filled with pride...
I probably looked like I had a split personality disorder!
I know I am terribly biased, but I thought the girls did AWESOME!
I couldn't have been any prouder!!!
