Home of the Throwed Rolls

It has been a long, LONG time since we made the trip over to Foley to enjoy some 'throwed rolls' at Lamberts. Like, I seriously think Savanna was in a high chair the last time we went!
We thought this would be a fun family date night and invited all the grandparents to join in on the fun too because as anyone who's ever been there before knows,
Lambert's is not just a meal ~ it is an experience!
HOME OF THE THROWED ROLLS ~ FOUR GENERATIONS AND COUNTING

While we waited for our table, Micah gave Savanna a graduation present he paid for with his own money. This did my heart good!
She also found a few other fun treats that Dede had waiting for her.
The restaurant is decorated with so many cute and unique items, but I couldn't resist taking a picture of the tin can man birdfeeder.
Here we are begging for more rolls to be thrown in our direction.
Micah learned when they holler "HOT roll" ~ they really mean it!
Both kids successfully caught two rolls each,
one for dinner and one for later.

Not only do the rolls keep you full while you wait for your meal, the throwing keeps you quite entertained. Some of the rolls were thrown clear across the entire restaurant!
To add to the entertainment while we waited, they pretended to serve Grandpa a possum
and a mouse jumped out of the box that supposedly held candy.
The portions were RIDICULOUSLY big!
I am pretty sure we brought enough home for 2 more meals.
Especially when you take into account that they come around with free "pass around" side dishes to ADD TO your meal. Some of the delicious pass arounds included fried okra, macaroni, cabbage, black eyed peas, and fried potatoes.
We made a quick trip in the gift shop to buy some Apple Butter and I found these!
I kept trying to figure out who I could buy the "Hillbilly BRIEF Case" for.
We had a fantastic meal and would definitely recommend a family feast at Lambert's next time you're headed our way!

  1. Oh my gosh that looks like a place we'd love! but I have to admit I felt a little stressed over the amount of rolls they must have dropped on the floor and where they go.
