Micah got himself all dressed up for awards day ~ he even decided to wear boots. I warned him that if he wore boots, he probably wouldn't be able to play on the playground at recess. His passion for fashion overshadowed his passion for fun and the boots won out in the end.

After all the formality of the awards ceremony, it was time to party like a second grader!
Mrs. D. put together a fantastic slide show of all the pictures from the year. She even made a copy of it for all the children to take home as a special keepsake.
She also gave all the kids goodie bags that included sparkly floam.Then they cranked up the music and showed off all their best 'moves'.
They did a little "ROBOT" freeze dancing.
Then Mrs. D. taught them all how to do the "SPRINKLER!"
Then they started a "CONGO LINE" around the classroom.

Some years you get a really awesome teacher, and some years you get really awesome classmates. God gave Micah a DOUBLE blessing this year by providing BOTH!

I can't believe he's going to be a third grader!! He is growing up to be such a handsome young man!
