Field Day

Another highlight at the end of the school year is the long awaited Field Day.

I remember LOVING this day as a kid!
Who wouldn't love a day out of the classroom playing games with all of your friends.
Although, I must admit, most of these games were new to me.
The relay and game schedule consisted of Dizzy Bat, Big Foot, Crazy Legs, Egg Hat, Juggle Ball, Hot Potator Relay, Pac Man, Crab Soccer, Butterball, and Busy Ball.

Savanna's class looked ready to WIN in their matching, self-made tye-dyed t-shirts.

Micah had the WORST nose bleed he has EVER had right there in the middle of field day! Fortunately he recovered and was able to get back "in the game" and enjoy the rest of his day.

All the kiddies looked forward to spending their tickets at the refreshment and face painting booths.

I love how Nick embraced his team's PINK colors!

Good minds think alike ~ we all searched for the COOLEST clothes possible for a VERY HOT day in the sun. We all agreed WHITE was the only way to go!

Micah let Cole be the first to sample the frozen pickle juice.
I think his expression says it all!

The only "retro" game that I was familiar with was tug of war.

Let's just say lots of yelling, laughin, pulling, and rope burns were involved in the process.

The grand finale of the day was a parents vs. teachers tug of war. If you look closely you can see me about sixth from the back.
