Future Scientists

Micah's class got to get a taste of what it would be like to be a scientist on their field trip to the Environmental Center.
They got their clip boards ready to make notes on all their observations and interesting facts.

I love how serious Micah looks in this picture ~ wonder what he was writing.

Can you tell they were pumped to be out of a regular classroom and allowed to wear their HATS?! I never knew hats were to boys what jewelry is to girls until Mr. Micah was old enough to voice his opinion. That boy loves him some hats! I guess as a boy, you are sort of limited in your ability to accessorize. Hats are pretty much it!

The tour guides were fantastic and made learning fun and interesting.

Who doesn't love to learn by playing with a magnifying glass?

I always love to see children out of the books and away from the desk. I think true learning only happens when you use ALL your senses and have fun in the process!
