Relay for Life Wagon Parade

Every year our school has our very own wagon parade as a fundraiser for Relay for Life. The child on each grade level that brings in the most donations for Relay gets to ride in or pull the wagon. This year's theme was superheros and each grade level did an awesome job decorating their wagon floats!

First Grade chose the military as their superheros and specifically honored our Blue Angels "Soaring for a cure!" They even threw little blue paper airplanes into the crowd as they took their turn looping the track.

Second grade picked Batman and Micah was thrilled!

Micah is the bat-guy standing behind the wagon in the gray shirt. Kindergarten chose Underdog as their superhero and looked too cute for words in their puppy hats.

Third grade went all out with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles theme complete with paper pizza frisbees that they threw into the crowd.

The teachers even dressed up as the sewer rats! Now that's committment!

5th grade was "Weaving a Web for a Cure" with Spiderman.

Those teachers had some excellent marketing strategies. They promised all the 5th graders that brought in at least $10 for Relay for Life they would give a can of silly string to spray at the crowd! You better believe every child that could brought in their 10 bucks.

Fourth grade chose the Medical Community as they are our true heros who hopefully WILL soon find a cure for cancer.
Each grade level threw something into the crowd like we were at a real parade.

Chase was a victim of the 5th grade webbers.

Savanna looks way too excited to get to "web" her Mama!
