Tooth Fairy and Easter Bunny meet at midnight

When Savanna lost a tooth on Easter Eve, she was most excited when she realized that the Tooth Fairy and the Easter Bunny would both be in our house on the same night.
She woke up to Tooth Fairy money tucked away in her tooth pillow...

And baskets filled with treats!

The children did a wonderful job singing in "BIG CHURCH" in their new Easter outfits.
What a lovely FBI backdrop!
Didn't realize that the DVD that they sang with was still loading when I took the picture!
All the children got their Easter Buckets ready for our annual Egg Hunt, and waited patiently for the whistle to blow.
We emphasized that the prize eggs would be EMPTY to represent the empty tomb. They traded their empty eggs in for the REAL prize...just like we will do one day when we experience the glorious "prize" that the Lord has waiting for those who have placed their faith in Jesus

The big kids were so good and patient to let the preschoolers have a head start.

I love watching older siblings, cousins, and friends helping the little ones.
It suddenly occurred to me that this is Savanna's LAST EGG HUNT!!!
I can still remember her tripping over her Easter dress on her very first egg hunt like it was YESTERDAY!
Of course, she is just so excited about moving up into the youth department and getting to help HIDE the eggs.
Mercy, where has the time gone?
Bizzy and Carlie cashed in their prize eggs!

We tried to get the girls to pose for a picture. I had the brilliant idea of getting them to squish in a little closer.
Great expressions as they bumbed noggins!
Then we all moved indoors for some Krispy Kreme treats and a chance to inventory the candy hidden in the eggs.
We even got a visit from the Easter Bunny who made sure we all understood that Easter is NOT to celebrate the Easter Bunny's birthday! Easter celebrates the NEW LIFE we has in Jesus ~ baby chicks and bunnies just help remind us of the new life that we can all experience as we become a NEW CREATION in Christ just like the transformation of the caterpillar into a butterfly.
Here is the Calhoun Clan at the end of a very busy, but very blessed Easter morning.
I hope everyone experienced the celebration of God's love and the promise of our eternal future like we did on Easter!

OK, I love every bit of this post from the FBI screen to Savanna still believing to the prize eggs being empty like the tomb to Savanna leaning in with her cute friends to the Easter bunny reminding everyone of the true meaning of Easter to Micah's madras shorts to my beautiful and SKINNY friend!!
